CLASS CHALET!!! something to look forward to & NOT DREAD!!!

Hey, pple.

From what i 'surveyed' from cls, most of us want a chalet outing. So i gathered some info n here they are:

Venue: Costa Sands (Pasir Ris). (cheapest choice available other than perhaps changi?!)
I have checked e costs. Ntuc member is $270 but safra membership rite, can book at $65.. ya.. world of difference. So i will most likely ask abt e safra wan so every 1 can save some $$$ to meet our DEPRIVED & ENDLESS shopping desires tt hv been suppressed due to A's.. So, if u pple know ANY safra members, go & BUG them 2 help us book..

Another thing is e dates. Due to our 2 dear guys who hv to go "挖泥土" & protect our country in DEC, we have to arrange our chalet in early dec.. i created a poll 2 choose e dates.. so PLS go & vote WITHIN THIS WEEK..

XiaoXianTan said some time ago that I should start my own blog with the general theme of 'De-Stress', or something along those lines. Sadly (or not), I decided not to take up that suggestion because blogs require high maintenance, and time is not on my side. *dramatic sigh*

But, that doesn't mean I can't do de-stress stuff here on the 'class' blog, right? :D

Hello 26, we have to complete a project regarding the basketball CIP we did at the indoor stadium. Class projects well done will be selected for the exhibition. The framework is as follows:

1) Title of Project

- clarify roles and responsibilities of all involved

- set realistic service and learning targets and timeline for completion

i. What happened?

- What did I and the others do?

- What have I learned about myself thru this experience?

All documents to be in Arial, font size 12, double line spacing.

Oh, and the tee would be drifit material, with collar. LOL.
I dunno why, but I've got this thing for collar tees at the moment. It'll probably die down soon. [:

And I emphasize here again, this is only MY opinion (which I'm not forcing onto you, ok?).
We're still going with the personalized, drifit, round collar, white tee with gold and black lettering idea which we voted on with a budget of $25 per pax.

CIP Part II

As promised, part II of... last week's CIP. :D

Most of them were taken after the game with the players. Saw the Wollongongs when we left the stadium, but too terrified to approach them. -.-

HJ with McDonald! OMG he standing so close to her can.

Michael Wong! Best looking S'porean in the team I think. But then there're only 3 to choose from, so 3C1 chances that he lands the title. LOL

Someone insisted on taking a photo with Michael Wong ALONE. He's already married dear, and you only reach his shoulder. :/

The other S'porean. Have never seen him in action before. Sad huh? I wonder if he gets paid just to warm the benches...

HJ, _______, SY and WG. He keeps going on and off court, and not very impressionable either, so...
Oh! We sort of bumped into him at the office, and Macs too. :D

Forgot his name, but he's the Slingers' best scorer. His shooting form is stunning. ^^b

Oh, there's a story behind this. Initially it was just HJ and Denise taking with #1 (forgot his name too, Rod something, but I dun feel comfortable referring to him as just plain Rod, too informal... -.-).
Then guess who decided to pop out of the blue? :p
I had to move back so that they'd all fit in. :D

HJ is quite the opportunist, no? The rest wanted a photo with Macs, and HJ gamely volunteered to ask him to take it again. And of course, she got to stand next to him again. Nice going!

You know, #1 always has this qian bian look on his face. He probably think he looks cool like that, but seriously, someone should tell him he just looks plain unapproachable.

I bet he's still single.

Also dunno who this guy is. But he was quite free and wandering about so HJ took one with him. Clearly he wasn't on court for a long time, otherwise he wouldn't look so happy. -.-
Quite on also huh? He noticed HJ doing the PEACE sign and he gamely gave the camera a PEACE sign too. So cute! :D
Too bad the blue lights destroyed his complexion.

Some people have been commenting that the 'class' blog has been rather dead as of late (understatement of 2008), so... yeah, updating. :D

About an hour before the game, I think. Kind of dark ne? Me and Felicia managed to bag the much coveted camera job! :D Legend had it that only guys were allowed near the camera. Well not anymore! We rock! xD

The guy-in-charge was saying something about a fanfare for the AIA family people when they entered, so they were playing around with the lights and everything. Apparently, they were expecting a lot more people than usual because it was AIA's Family Day or something.

HUI HUA! The great woman in pink who got us this CIP! Must thank her profusely for introducing us to such an excellent deal. Arigatou! (:

Slacking off before the game~ These are the Waterboys! xD

Their job is to bring water, towels, etc, for the opposing team, the Wollongong Hawks (weird name, no?) In other words be their maids-in-waiting for the day. Whether they really did their job... I dunno?

Ok, if you squint hard enough, you should be able to see a white rectangular shaped thingy hovering above the Hawk guy's head. It's a actually tiki. Wanna know what it says?

Isn't that the meanest thing you've ever seen?! The other side was something about girlfriends but I forgot. This Indian fellow with a turban kept flashing the sign when one of the Hawks go up to take a free throw.

It's appalling behaviour I tell you, and it goes to show how some people are so lacking in sportsmanship. The CIP is nice, certainly, but I'd rather not go too often if I have to face such an unpleasant audience all the time.

Muhaha. Me!

Oh, I happen to be blocking the Hawk's coach. He seemed all p*ssed off during the entire game. And I'm not surprised. Probably the audience's contant BOOs got to him.

BBQ! Excited?

We planned a BBQ, we prepared for a BBQ, we carried out the BBQ, and now the BBQ is OVER!

Haiz, a bit sad that all the fun is now over. BUT, we still got photos to remind us of the fun times yeah? :D

I'm not actually that great a photographer, and some of the photos look like crap, and you poor victims in the photo might end up looking crappy too when actually you're not, so forgive me! It was unintentional! X_X

And it's a pity I came late eh? It would've been nice if I could get photos of the pre-BBQ, food-buying process. Unfortunately, I went a little late (I went for the food you see, and Someone said reaching at 4 is far too early...), and so, yeah. I didn't get any shots of those. *shrug

But still, the rest of the photos were ok!

When I arrived, only one fire had been set up. The other one was.... in the process of being set up. :/

Alight at old airport rd BLK 39 [5th stop]

hey hey guys!!! got the reply for CIP le.

However, they think that all 25 of us doing for one day is too big.. they asked us to split into groups of 8 to 9 for each games.. so that means we have to do in grps for ard 3 games lor...

if all of you want only sunday games it will be the 4th November , 11th November and 2nd December...but i think its not very possible for us.. so im gonna ask them whether we can do the weekday games also..

if we do the weekend & weekday games it probably be the following dates de..
4th November (Sun), 8th November (Thurs),11th November (Sun), 2nd December (Sun), 19th December (Wed), 2nd Janaury (Wed), 13rd January (Sun), 20th January (Sun), 30th January (Wed), 13rd February (Wed)

The above will be the following days where they will be having their matches at Singapore Indoor Stadium...and are the days we can go to do CIP.. so pls tell me the wat are the dates you will be able to make it.. the following website shows the sheldule of their matches but i think we can only do our CIP on those days which is at Singapore Indoor Stadium..

yep yep i'm here to post abt the CIP... so i found out that they will be having games on sundays only..btw its BASKETBALL GAMES so the coming games will be on the 4th and 11th of November. i think it start @5pm so if we confirm going for it we would have to reach earlier.

it would be better if we all can just do it on the 4th, that would be the best lah...

for your info we may need to showcase our cip next year because that's what my class did this year lah. its just showing to the others what CIP our class did.. yup..so bring yer cameras!! yea cam-whor time~ (but we cant take pics or videos of the game ok =D)

Anyway~~ mm.. what we would be doing for the CIP is basically help them out before the game.. LIKE rolling up T-shirts and giving out free gifts to the people who are going for the games (b4 the games)..then after the games we just help if some cleaning up can le..the cleaning up wont be very long de.. but that means that we need to be there from b4 the game till after the game.. i hope everyone knows how long a basketball game will be~ =) lol.. and during the game we can just sit inside watch the game with the air-con haha.. oh ya.. one of the job is also during the game de.. it's like mopping floor haha but it is only needed when the players fell down on a particular spot or when the referee asked u too.. the ppl will be stationed behind the ...."baskets"...... ~.~ dont know what's tt called haha..

hey all... pls inform rach whether you are going to the class bbq ya! coz we need to prepare the food and all... if more ppl go, the cost per person is cheaper.. theory of EOS...duuhhh... so i really encourage everyone to go for this class outing, besides it's only once a year.and the last day of school was a great one,all of us indeed had a fun time. yeah!

through some contacts, i found something on conducting enrichment workshop for children.. but not sure if it's still available, so will keep u all updated asap..

and we will most probably be having farewellparty for teachers who will not be teaching us next yr cum october babies birthday party next fri.. we will get a cake ans sth else..we will also be getting present for the teachers (ms li, mr wong.. are there others?) too.. so each person is expected to pay arn 5 buckxs. or maybe lesser if u all decide to use up all the class fund..

To those who didn't attend, we have to do CIP as a class by THIS YEAR, ie. Dec 2007.

I don't know if this is going to be another hopeless post, but I'd rather try than leave the matter dead.

I'm hoping Sherly/Yu Zong will do something about this. But then again, I might be hoping for too much. -.-

Ideas anyone? Don't be shy to post or tag you know. If you're terrified that stalkers will track you down should you dare leave your mark on the tagboard, then write your name as Anonymous... or something... anything! :/

Muhaha. I am bored and therefore I blog.

Su Ning is right; this IS starting to become my personal blog... But who cares. If no one post, then might as well I post right? Pfft.

Anyway, today was soooo boring. What, OP rehearsals? When 2 of the groups don't even have a laptop. Cheh. TJ 123 was slacking (kind of) the whole time (most of it. Ahem.)
But we're not the only groups you know. There were others too! And you know who you are... (Like, the cake people. Hmm.)

Then we had the Birthday Cake! :D
Its for the September people I think. The chocolate was quite nice, but the whole thing was kind of... oily. Kind of disgusting if you eat too much. Lucky for some people who just don't get fat no matter how many slices they eat eh?
Then there are some who just refuse to eat it. Probably on a diet. Forgive them..

Another highlight was TJ 124! They stole the limelight so early in the day lor. Imagine, Wan Ting brought this HUGE bag of clothes to school just to play dress up and take photos. Cool huh? Everyone was like, staring at them while she pulled out this see-through blouse and told Xue Nan: Eh, I think you can wear this leh...
Dunno who is the extra who didn't want to play along... :/ (I thought the sizes suited him.)

And the day passed by lazily... People played Minesweeper, checked out Su Ning's blog, slept, ate, complained about boredom...

Tomorrow is Open House! Don't feel like going... But can't pon unless I have A Valid Reason. Dang.
We'll see. Maybe I can sort of disappear... Or get a mysterious illness overnight. -.-

From this, we can see that some people who have a height disadvantage always insist on standing/sitting right at the back. (Dunno who I'm talking about? He's the one tiptoeing and you can barely see his face. xD)
Then there are some who like to pose. (See the 3 right in front)
Notice how the others unconciously follow the leader. (See the bunch of people on the left)
And all the people at the back look so... squished. We're not that big, are we? o.O
