Monday, October 13, 2008 @7:25 PM
Hey, pple.
From what i 'surveyed' from cls, most of us want a chalet outing. So i gathered some info n here they are:
Venue: Costa Sands (Pasir Ris). (cheapest choice available other than perhaps changi?!)
I have checked e costs. Ntuc member is $270 but safra membership rite, can book at $65.. ya.. world of difference. So i will most likely ask abt e safra wan so every 1 can save some $$$ to meet our DEPRIVED & ENDLESS shopping desires tt hv been suppressed due to A's.. So, if u pple know ANY safra members, go &
BUG them 2 help us book..
Another thing is e dates. Due to our 2 dear guys who hv to go "挖泥土" & protect our country in DEC, we have to arrange our chalet in early dec.. i created a poll 2 choose e dates.. so PLS go & vote
WITHIN THIS WEEK.. http://www.doodle.ch/participation.html?pollId=55b59gm7anid3gnrOh, another thing is $$$$.. i need u all to pay e reminder cos i tink cls fund left abt $80~ according to char. So it may not be enuf.. unless we can get e safra special price..
E chalet shld b a 2 day 1 nite event, unless u all wan more?? If u all hv any better offer/suggestion, then post here.. Helps to keep e blog alive ^.*
Tt's it for now bah..

Photos have been edited in Photoshop and uploaded.
Efficient? That's my middle name man. :D
Aiya, so what if the camera phone is 5 mega pixels? Take already still so daaark. Tsk.
So I work my magic, and... VOILA. I reveal to you, a GOOD photo.
Hohoho. Admit it people, I am The Pro. *insert Pro-ish laugh here*
Some people caught off-guard when this was taken.
My spoofy version. D:
On another note, I'm gonna go get a blog because there's a lot of stuff I wanna write but can't write on a 'class' blog. It'll be up by, say, next week? Hehe. Stay tuned. :D
De-stress time
Thursday, July 31, 2008 @6:17 PM
XiaoXianTan said some time ago that I should start my own blog with the general theme of 'De-Stress', or something along those lines. Sadly (or not), I decided not to take up that suggestion because blogs require high maintenance, and time is not on my side. *dramatic sigh*
But, that doesn't mean I can't do de-stress stuff here on the 'class' blog, right? :D
So here's some funny stuff I found on the web. Some of them may look familiar to you. Apparently they're all written by real students, who are obviously not very bright. (Believe it or not, up to you.)
And tempting as it may be, please don't write these answers in exams. D:
If you do and the teacher gives you a ZERO for trying to be funny, don't say I didn't warn you.
Algebraic expansion. Write this in Prelims and Mr. Handsome will vomit blood for sure.
Integrate... Batman? A new look at Calculus and its applications. Hmm.
Eh, we should all try writing these as a class in the next Math test and see what kind of reaction we get.
Cancellation, the easy way.
Attractive curves, LOL. LKK will have a fit if he sees this on our answer scripts.
My NIE Chem teacher in Sec 3 showed us this in class for entertainment's sake. Never quite got over laughing at it. It still makes me laugh now. XD
When they ask you to prove Economic theories...
Then, I stumbled upon this unintentionally and laughed nonstop after that. Showed my brother and sister and they couldn't stop laughing too. LOLOL.
ENGLISHThe next great author was John Milton. Milton wrote "Paradise Lost." Then his wife dies and he wrote "Paradise Regained."
When Lincoln was President, he wore only a tall silk hat. He said, "In onion there is strength."
The Greeks were a highly sculptured people, and without them we wouldn't have history. The Greeks also had myths. A myth is a female moth. In the Olympic games, Greeks ran races, jumped, hurled the biscuits, and threw the java.
Julius Caesar extinguished himself on the battlefields of Gaul. The Ides of March murdered him because they thought he was going to be made king. Dying, he gasped out: "Tee hee, Brutus."
Another story was William Tell, who shot an arrow through an apple while standing on his son's head.
The sun never set on the British Empire because the British Empire is in the East and the sun sets in the West. Queen Victoria was the longest queen. She sat on a thorn for 63 years.
According to a teacher, his personal favourite paper to mark, was completely empty apart from one sentence.
"Jesus, Please Help Me."

Basketball CIP Project
Saturday, March 22, 2008 @2:18 PM
Hello 26, we have to complete a project regarding the basketball CIP we did at the indoor stadium. Class projects well done will be selected for the exhibition. The framework is as follows:
1) Title of Project
2) Community Involved
3) Duration of Project
4) Profile of Participants
5) Preparation
- clarify roles and responsibilities of all involved
- set realistic service and learning targets and timeline for completion
6) Reflection Section
i. What happened?
- What did I and the others do?
- What have I learned about myself thru this experience?
- Has my sense of 'community' been altered?
- Has my experience challenged my stereotypes/ prejudices?
- What would I do differently if given the chance?
- How does this change the way I act and think in the future?
ii. Why, and so what?
- What have I learned about the people who received my help?
- Describe a specific instance of failure/ success/ doubt/ humour/ frustration/ joy/ sadness etc.
- Why do you think you have such reactions?
- How does what I've learned apply in other areas in my life?
- Which of my actions had the most impact to the community?
- What more can be done to help these people?
iii. Now what?
- Evaluation of the activity. What could have been done better? What are the strengths?
- What could have been done to change the situation?
- Identify an underlying issue which has contributed to address the community's need.
I will do the overall thing for the class for 1-4. Pls divide yourselves into groups of 4/5 and complete 5&6 in reference to the above mentioned questions. All group entries must be submitted to me in soft copies integrated with at least 8 photos by 3rd April, Thursday night, 8pm because I have to hand it in to Mr Lim by Friday. All documents to be in Arial, font size 12, double line spacing.
That's it, pls hand in your stuff to me on time! :D :D.
